  • Who Made the fight "boring" for fans

Id say it was 50-50 i was thoroughly entertained by the boxing lesson, specially the first few rounds when Nonito seemed stomped by Rigo being able to mute hes Dominating offense and land some hard shots so Donaire stopped pressing the action until desperation mode set in the last 3 rounds, now Rigondeaux's part on this is hes amateurish mode kicked in again when he felt he had the fight in the bag he settled for pop shoting and out-pointing Donaire. I was surprised Donaire was supposed to be the all mighty k.o king and he completely got stomped.

Rigo was very smart in the 1st round. He engaged as if it was going to be a brawl, to put that confidence in Nonito's head that he'll eventually catch him in an exchange. Then he did a 180, and went full on counterstrike, and Nonito couldn't adjust.

You know. I don't care. I enjoyed a beautiful display of boxing tonight and I'm not entertaining people calling something that they don't understand "boring."

Nonito chased all night, got tagged every now and then, 12th round was probably the only time they really engaged. Rigo is very slippery. Donaire wasn't really throwing and that was probably due to Rigo's movement, speed and possibly power. Donaire did take some good shots too.

Rigo is very awkward, his movement is very erratic.
I don't see anyone beating Rigo unless Rigo really exchanges.

I think any 'fan' who found that boring only has themselves to blame.

Exactly my thoughts he got Nonitos respect to a point he muted hes offence .

Well rigo moved alot but he kind of had to and Donaire barely threw and kind of just plodded forward which surprised me, so kind of both.

To a real fan of the sport this fight should not have been 'boring' per say.. Maybe a little slow, but if you were expecting fireworks you shouldn't call yourself a fan.. This fight happened how anyone who had seen Rigo before this thought it would have. Heck, even ol' Bob saw this coming and hoped that KO bonus would incite Rigo to open himself more, going for the knockout.

But to answer your question: it was maybe 50-50. Rigo was moving a lot and Donaire was pressuring him, but not as much as he should have.. Rigo walked out the corner with no resistance from Donaire at times..

It was edge of the seat stuff I loved every second. I loved it even more when Rigo did a little dash away and the crowd starting booing.

                    Wonderful fight, Wonderful day.
