    Nah, his gameplan was ****.

He should've made it rough from the get go. Force Rigondeaux into a brawl.

Donaire tried to outskill Rigo and got into a hand-speed competition for 9 rds.

He finally got rough and scored a KD right away.

I think Mares has the right style to beat Rigo.

Props to Rigo though. He fought his fight.

What you're not realizing though is that Nonito didn't just decide to not fight his fight, Rigo's speed and counter punching made him second guess. That's what happens when you go against someone who can make you pay for your aggression. That's why slick, fast, counter punchers are the hardest fighters to beat. Period. Rigo made Donaire look bad. Not Donaire's shoulder, lack of studying or pending fatherhood.

Fully agree. The excuses are ridiculous. Without the athletic advantage Donaire's skill set was woefully short of what was required to win that fight tonight. But I'm not knocking him, I don't think anyone south of featherweight beats Rigo after watching that. In fact there probably aren't many featherweights who'd be up to the job.

Rigo was just better. Nonito is counter puncher himself so being brawler isn't really his comfort zone. And rigo can ****in crack man.

Rigo would have KOd Donaire had Donaire opened up...Donaire knew this too. Rigo was barely touched up and Donaire had a nearly swollen shut eye.......there isn't anyone beating Rigo man, that guy is too good and those socrecards were bogus as hell, Donaire won one round or two tops, he got schooled bigtime.
