    People should not be shocked. I've been calling this for months, and it's not because of nationalism. Donaire was simply not that good. This fight reminded me of Klitschko vs. Haye.

    Rigo= Klitschko Donaire= Haye

    Two hype jobs killed by two great boxers.

      No EXCUESES NONITO! No, my trainer was't there or I have to have shoulder surgery. Ba-bye Robert; this will the last time me thinks you'll be in Donaires corner.

          People overlooked the fact that Guillermo Rigondeaux is a two time Olympic gold medalist...

              I said Rigo can and propably will win this fight. As a guy with chin issues he had the perfect game-plan to fight Donaire. It was not a verry spectacular fight but still verry impressive by Rigondeaux. And if you have a "boring" fight both fighters are to blame. Rigo just executed his gameplan and Donaire did almost nothing to change that, should have tried to be more agressive but he couldnt. Thats when you get schooled and dont know what to do.

                Pure boxing skills

                Rigo just put a clinic on the not so flash Filipino ....great BOXING FIGHT night.
                And for the trainer Robert Garcia ...well he is no one special just got lucky with a few fighters that did not fight anyone with boxing skills.

                  NONITO you lost. You underestimated Rigo and lost (schooled). By a person you thought was worthy of you - how ironic.

                    This was a true boxing lesson. Rigo is slippery as hell, made it look easy.

                      I never bought the hype about Donaire. Defeating a small and old Jorge Arce shouldn't have counted for getting the award of "fighter of the year" I am feeling sorry for many philipinos since they kept boasting of the greatness of their boxers and forecasting that they would dominate or "kill" their rivals. As a matter of fact it has been the opposite since Pacquiao was badly KOed by Marquez in his last fight, Viloria was severly punished by Estrada a week ago, and Donaire was schooled by Rigo tonight. I can see some pinoy forists will be very sorrow just like it happened when JMM KOed cold Manny since it has been few months and they still think that Pacquiao never lost against Marquez. The truth is that living in denial will never change reality.
