If I recall, Floyd stated loud & clear , HBO was the best! He loves HBO! Now his tune has completely changed! No one disputes Floyd skills! His opponents & the timing of certain opponents have been in question! If he is the best P4P fighter on the planet, why is he not fighting the best? Ortiz, Guerrero, Mosley, Cotto, etc. was not the best! Those guys has the name! Marquez moved up two classes to fight! HBO did the right thing! Floyd & Golden Boy has been milking HBO with these mismatches of the century as if they are competitive fights!

How is this really different from his "slave wages" comment? Which was what more than a decade old~ so him feeling disrespected by HBO is a long running thing.

That is the life of a high end athlete though, a team (or in this case HBO) will pay a guy well or even outstanding if that athlete is worth it because no matter what they pay that athlete they will still make more money off that athlete than what they pay. However once that athlete is not the same guy anymore they just become a high priced liability that they will look to dispose of so they can move on to the next guy.

That is the cycle of sports, one of the most cold blooded businesses out there~ which is why athletes should always get that money when they can.

HBO just want fighters to fight the way they want them to fight and if you don't they will criticism you and it is not just Mayweather, last year they (Lampley mostly) mocked Miguel Vazquez during his fight with Gesta because they don't appreciate or care for BOXING SKILLS

Lampley favorite fighter is/was ***ing Arturo Gatti, so that should tell you what type of fighters and fights he like...Merchant, Kellerman and Lampley have the mentality of Casual Fans, they never boxed so you can understand why they feel like fighters should just stand in the middle of the ring and give punches and take punches and use NO DEFENSE, NO HEAD MOVEMENT and NO FOOTWORK

But to Merchent and Lampley credit, they was giving Mayweather a lot of PRAISE during the Cotto fight which was ultimately Mayweather's last fight on HBO

Floyds problems with HBO has always been about selection of opponents. HBO wanted more competitive fights for the money they were paying.

The difference being that Oscar gave the network the fights that mattered the most in regards to what the fans wanted to see and as far as ratings were concerned. Floyd did not. They were probably both given the leeway to fight who they wanted. Oscar chose to fight the fights that mattered the most and challenge himself in the ring to prove he was the best. Floyd's only desire was to get the most money possible for the least risk.
