Gamboa vs Perez and Nelson vs Clottey are no different. Only a person with an agenda would praise one and **** on the other. That's for sure but do you man.

If anyone here is mad its you. You're mad that Gamboa is juicing and still fighting on HBO. Deal with it. Hopefully Perez knocks him so you can stop being so bitter.

for the record, i don't think this is an awful fight for gamboa. it's certainly not an hbo/showtime main event, but i'm not going to complain too much. it's better than the poor kid sitting on the shelf, and it's certainly better than his last fight. perez isn't an awful fighter, and i've wanted to see him get a hard fight for a while, even if he's not a top talent.

gamboa's a top fighter, or at least he's been at the top. what's killing his career is the inactivity.
his wins over de leon and salido were top wins, and he won a "world title" all the way back in '09.
That was 4 years ago. We're in 2013 and he's debuting a 135 so he's definitely not a top fighter. He could be but isn't at the moment.

It is an awful fight for Gamboa. People complained about Golovkin fighting Ishida in a stay busy fight but his kid couldnt even hold Ishida's jock strap. The reason he hasnt fought top fighters is because he cant beat him. He's taking the Salita route, fight bums, get that record nice and shiny until some cherry picker or sanctioning body gives you a shot. And its worked
I'm not saying its a good fight but it sure as hell isn't a **** while Clottey vs Nelson is a GREAT fight. They are both either **** or great.

He's not a cherry picker. Look at all the people he's attempted to fight. Beltran, Salgado, Burgos and Vazquez Jr. And he also got his resume to prove that he's not.

So why'd he "try" to fight Burgos and Vasquez then? 130 and 135 are 2 of the weakest divisions and the best he could do is perez?

Why do they both have to be the same thing? I've already explained how Clottey-Nelson is a much better fight, a decent one, while this a complete **** fight. He was even KD 2X by guy who lost like 8 fights in a row, 4 by KO

Of course he is, he's probably fighting Perez next. Gamboa "tries to makes" fights with Rios, Salgado, Burgos and Vasquez, yet fights Farenas and Perez instead.

I'd like to see this. Josh was a good fighter.

I remember watching Margarito-Clottey like it was yesterday, it's actually been a long-ass time huh"?

Let me break it down for ya Russian.

I'll give you that Darley Perez is ranked 50th. But let me ask you, what's Gamboa's rank at 135?

Now, what was GGG's ranking at 160? And what was Ishida's rank at 160? So yea, people had every right to **** all over that fight.

I remember this tweet from a while back. Seems Clottey and Dibella don't get along.

Oh please dont give me that bull**** about weight. 135 is a very weak division and Gamboa wants to fights its 50th ranked guy. If its his first fight at 135, then why was he trying to fight Burgos? That makes your whole argument collapse right there.

Ishida was ranked higher at 160 then Perez is at 135 and also beat much better fighters then Perez and his only loses came to the top 2 guys. If Perez fought the top 2 guys at 135, he's be ranked like 157th instead.

Golovkin will have fought 3 guys, all much better then Perez by the time Gamboa fights Perez. Yet you **** on golovkin and defend Gamboa
