Burgos turned it down. And Idk about Vazquez... They said they reached out to him.

      Perez: #14 WBC, #2 WBA, #3 IBF, #7 WBO.

If Gamboa wins, he'll be closer to getting a fight with Vasquez or Abril. He could've done worse.

perez is an OK fighter. he's not a top talent, but he's got enough that i won't complain too much about gamboa fighting him.

gamboa's career has been a shame, though. he's a top flight talent. his accomplishments don't do his talent justice in the least.

in fact, gamboa has almost certainly peaked. he looked heavier and markedly slower his last time out.

Man, Gamboa stuck having to fight anyone who was willing to step in and fight.

Burgos backed out and it looks like Vasquez didn't want to go either.

Anyway, I just look forward to seing him back in the ring and not stuck with another huge layoff.

The bold is all I need to hear. Sadly, I agree with the rest of your post.

After this fight, I'd like to see Gamboa fight for a belt at 135. Time's a wastin'. Yuri's best days will be gone all too soon.

Easy fight for Gamboa. Perez has trouble with fighters that have good movement.
