Comments Thread For: Robert Helenius Removed From EBU Mandatory Position

When Robert Helenius, 19-0, beat Dereck Chisora in December of 2011 he won the vacant EBU heavyweight title but then he suffered a bad hand and shoulder injury that took almost a year to heal. He thus relinquished the title and stablemate Kubrat Pulev won it by knocking out Alexander Dimitrenko (after Chisora had moved on to fight Vitali Klitschko). Helenius was then given the position as mandatory challenger while Pulev made a voluntary defence in September by knocking out Alexander Ustinov. [Click Here To Read More]

    Sauerland should sign Denis Boytsov.

Because Robert Helenius has that chronic injury and Edmund Gerber has turned out to be mediocre, they need another good heavyweight.

I saw a twitter rumor that Boytsov-Pulev is in the works for June, but it's difficult to believe it will happen.

Poor Rob-Hel. That injury ruined his career.

pulev is top 2 in the IBF so he will vacate the EU belt. boytsov will fight another ranked guy for the vacant belt unless the IBF decides to make boytsov the other combatant in the final IBF eliminator against pulev...

Okey, that lucky punch just comes once in a life time anyway, so cheer it and treasure it as this will unlikely comes too soon. Why lucky punch? Because it did not come in their 3 fights and suddenly it popped-up in their 4rth fight and becomes his saving straight and clean punch in his dying moments with pac in the ring! JMM has every reason to avoid Pac despite the enticing cash at stake for a 5th fight. As he said, his win is what he was waiting for and he got it, and he will not let Pac take this away from him no matter what.
