Just because you beat a ppv star doesnt automatically mean you become a ppv star. shane beat oscar and so did tito but neither became ppv superstars that get 1 mill ppvs on a regular.

      Its not meant for everyone.
Difference is that this time the event not a fighter is the draw. Any other Pacquiao fight won't sell anywhere near as much as JMM-Pacquiao 5 and half of that event is JMM.

lol wut? the event wouldnt be an event without the fighters involved.

Pacquiao has sold million plus ppvs on his own without marquez. The last time marquez tried to do the ppv dance without pacquiao or floyd, he sold less than 100k and he had blacked out seats in vegas.

i dont mind a 50-50 split, but if marquez really wants to challenge pac with the money, then go sign up for another fight before the 5th pac fight and do well. If he tries to leverage his ko of pac as the reason why he should get the money, that's not going to work in his favor. Its gonna be 750k down the drain and a chris john fight all over again.

If pac decides to play hardball, marquez should go ahead and fight bradley, beat him, and do a successful ppv show. He does these things, he can command a equal, heck a bigger share.

Shane didn't have a 4 fight life and death struggle with Oscar and Shane also isn't a Mexican fighter that has a very supportive fan base that support fighters from that country like crazy.

I thought Marqoid said he didn't want to fight Pacquiao because he didn't think he had anything else to prove? If I am Pacman you were already told that Marqoid didn't want to fight you so Pacquiao-Bradley in Macau and Pacman makes as much money if not more than another fight with Marqoid.

Marquez was just holding out for more money. Marquez needs to capitalize on this opportunity, not like he did last time and fought Chris John for less money and lost. that was f_ucking s ******.

                  Sounds reasonable to me!!!
If Manny & Roach want a rematch they better man up, be reasonable and don't negotiate like the devil seeing his soul (your above that).
50/50 I believe is the most y'all deserve.

I personally think he deserves 50-50 because it's not about what he can do by himself, it's his name that carries value and adds those sales to Pacquiao's numbers. Plus he just beat him. I said the same thing about Mayweather-Pacquiao being 50-50 some years back. In that case, Mayweather was the bigger draw in terms of ppv, but Pacquiao's name adds value like no one else's would - allowing that ppv to sell in great numbers.
The only advantage of having beaten Pacquiao apart from satisfaction (and maybe profit oif he backed himsel) is that people will want to see MannyP get revenge in a return fight. That was why Arum said after the fight that this makes a natural return which will sell big. It is the Pacquiao supporters who buy the seats and the PPVs. Marquez is distinctly not popular enough for people to pay out big money to watch him with his own chosen opponents. As far as Pacquiao is concerned, business-wise Marquez is the opponent. This is not disparagement, just fact and common-sense.

Pacquiao will probably get at least 60-65%, and at that amount, Marquez will be getting his best payday ever.

Don't forget (everybody does) that this is a business, not a tournament where the winner gets the mosr reward. Marquez' reward is the offer of another fight at more money. No matter who Pacquiao fights it will be a sell-out and over a million PPVs. As Beristain recently pointed out (although not in so many words) Marquez' advisors have to overcome his "dog-in-a-manger attitude which is deeply ingrained. It's just his nature. He was the same when he refused the first rematch offer years ago, which would have given him $750,000, and which was more than his combined purses totals to that date. He eventually had to go off and fight chris john for $32.500, which John comfortably won, and the rematch was delayed for 4 years, and he didn't get anywhere near $750,000..

yet the majority of the fans in the last fight seem to be marquez fans or atleast going for marquez and according to pacquiao after the 3rd fight when he was getting booed because marquez got robbed pacquiao explanation for the boos was because those were marquez fans
