Hard to tell how good Rigondeaux is in terms of skill considering his level of opposition.

But either way it's still clearly Mayweather.

Technically Rigo isn't as good as people say. He relies on athleticism more than Mayweather. He is open, and is in the same boat as Pac. Speed and power is his lifeline.

Personally they are very identical. Outside of pro experience, both are close to the same age, same style (outside of stance), foot and hand speed are very good, and both have good power. Both use they're straight right/left to dictate fights.

Rigo has more bad habits and makes more mistakes.

But Mayweather has had 43 opportunities to learn and correct his errors whereas Rigo has only had 11 so its really an uneven comparison at this point in time.

Andre Ward is about the only fighter one could compare to Floyd when it comes to skills, even then Floyd is clearly more skilled.

It would have been better to see Rigondeaux as a pro since 18-19 like Floyd.

Rigondeaux is like 32, supposedly, with like 10 fights. He's old, so we missed his absolute prime already, and the Rigo we're seeing now is the version of him on decline, but he's still clearly skillful. So it's tough to compare several years of a good declining fighter to like 17 years of a fighter we saw in the pro when he was green, prime, and now on the decline. Prime vs Prime we'll never know how good Rigondeaux was.

I honestly don't know. But I will say that if Rigo does beat Donaire, that win alone is better than any single win on Floyd's resume. Real talk.
