losing 7 lbs on a 129lb fighter is a lot of weight, I don't care who you are.

7 lbs is nothing at this stage. that's exactly where they want to be. donaire is a big guy for this weight, even if he just got there. it's not healthy for him to be close to weigh in weight for a long period of time. they want to be heavy. they want to put on a ton of weight after the weigh in and have an advantage in the ring. they will only want him to be at the weigh in weight for a few hours / half a day at most.

welcome to the era of "modern nutrition," and the 3 oclock weigh in on friday.

Nonito might very well need every ounce of energy at some point.
It will get interesting indeed. Hes going to be able catch Donaire clean multiple times in this fight. If he hurts him Rigo will tear him apart.

it's evidence of how much smaller he is. he's also got a leaner body type. donaire carries some loose skin. rigondeaux is about as ripped as a man can get.

I can lose 10lbs just by sweating it off in the sauna.

7lbs is nothing, hes right on point IMO

It just destroys the fanboy theory of he now walks around at 128

It's really not that bad. He could get rid of the excess weight in hours before weight in day & just rest & rehydrate night before the fight.

                  hey, genius.

majority of boxers cut 10, 15, 20 pounds before weigh in. it's water.

that's why when they rehydrate, their fight night weight is 10, 15, 20 pounds above what they weighed in.

i love how ppl don't even know the most basic things about the sport but try to talk.

Donaire always cuts. He's pretty big even for 122, but people are closer to his size now at least. I think he used to cut more than 7.. Thats not too bad. Few hours in the sauna and a big s hit and he'll be where he needs to.
