Undefeated Abner Mares, is planning and training to stay unbeaten in his upcoming championship fight against Daniel Ponce de Leon for the WBC featherweight title on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The main event features a welterweight fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Robert Guerrero.
Mares (25-0-1, 13 KOs) says he has developed a sound training regime.
“I run in the morning and then I spar in the afternoon, and to finish the day I work out in the gym. I know this will be a very tough fight so I'll keep up the good work” he said.
Mares is working with trainer Clemente Medina at the Elite MMA Academy, in Santa Fe Springs, California.
