In my opinion this was Calzaghe's best win and the only win against a prime top-notch fighter that I will give him credit for. Eubank, Hopkins, Jones were all on decline. Reid gave him a tough and close fight but he wasn't really "elite".

Kessler landed some hard shots, jabs and right hands, and got Calzaghe's face reddened early. Calzaghe took over after the 5-6th round because Kessler began to slow down and Calzaghe turned up the pace.

lol but Zaghes resume is pretty weak, so Kesslers must be really rubbish.

Calzaghe did what Kessler didn't think he could which was take his best shots, Kessler was also tired because Joe had a very high workrate.

Hopkins wasn't on a decline, he's had some of his most notable wins against guys that were actually HIS own size since that fight! Come on man. Hopkins thought he had the style to beat Calzaghe, but he was wrong and Joe's speed, movement and chin were all more than he thought, which is why he won. It was a close fight though. Think about it, since then Hopkins had beaten Pascal (should have been twice), Cloud, and a young Pavlik. Even right before he beat Winky and and Tarver. I fail to see any logic in your post whatsoever.

People can say what they want about Froch, but he's got a very good resume and better than MOST of the top P4P guys right now. He lost to Ward and a close decision to Kessler, that could have gone either way. I always picked against Froch and with the exception of knowing Ward would beat him, i've always picked wrong. I thought Kessler would KO and expose him, but I think that Froch will win the next one. Kessler is very fundementally sound, Froch is obviously quite awkward... but it works for him. He's strong and has a solid chin.

                  Froch's resume > Calzaghe's resume.

Calzaghe is a better fighter than Froch and Kessler and I think a prime Calzaghe vs a prime Andre Ward is a toss up. He really was that good. He hit harder than people think decent speed and above all had a super human like work rate with unbelievable stamina. Calzaghe is a tough fight for anyone.

Nobody cares. A win over Kessler isn't THAT impressive anyway.

Froch has surpassed Calzaghe's record and this is coming from an unbiased boxing fan.
