Corrales also does not hint at getting an injury like Calzaghe did. And Corrales doesn't take warm-ups that he doesn't need And gets injured.

If Cotto hadn't had such a long layoff I think they could have made the fight in March but no way do you take on a fighter like Castillo with that long of a layoff plus he already signed to fight Branco.

If they are going to make the 3rd fight then that eliminates the Castillo vs. Cotto fight, dosen't it clear the way for a Cotto vs. Hatton summer showdown? They would have no one else that is a top contender to fight with unless one decides to face Mayweather, which I doubt.

Castillo needs to move on, call the fight off, go to 140 and fight Cotto. The clock is ticking on Castillo's career this is a huge holdup imo.

I think diffrent because Cotto is probably training right now gettying ready for Branco so it would be perfect, But I'm wondering, is Branco Cotto mandatory?

this whole injury is really a blessing in disguise... now both fighters have to time to fully recover and put on a great 3rd fight.

I had a little bit of interest in Castillo/Corrales 2 since it was pushed, and one was being advertised too much.

Than 2 made it, into an exphition fight, not for the belts. Also with the huge weght issuse, all but made the fight a joke.

Now, is anyone esle losing all bit of intrest in this crap?

And i wasnt even excited about one cause i thought Casamayor won, and wanted Corrales/Casa 3.

You guys (well not all of you) are overlooking one issue, the HBO-Showtime issue. Cotto couldn't fight Castillo in February since its a Showtime date and he's an HBO fighter. Now while Castillo is a free agent fighter, Showtime might still expect him to fight for them next month. So the only way a Cotto-Castillo fight happens this spring is if its in March and not February, leaving February still vacant on Showtime. If for soem reason Castillo fought Cotto on March 4th, it'd be a definite tough call on whether to watch that fight live or the Lacy fight live. Either way, both would get DVR'd

Maybe Corrales is trying to get back at Castillo, by delaying the fight for his weight issuse, or to have a rest since the big heads keep pushing the rematchs for months afer
