you cant really blame him for thinking this way coz it just so happened that nonito's toughest fight to date came from a fighter closer to abner's style in concepcion....
Who was the fighter? But I see mares fights and I just know that nonito would prolly ko him. Abner fights kinda wild. I think the fighters that would give donaire problems are M Garcia and Gamboa but they mite just be too damn big

el torito concepcion , a fighter montiel koed ...thats the toughest fighter nonito has fought.... abner is wild but he knows how to win and he aint afriad to get dirty either .. he was expected to get outboxed by moreno but look how that turned out...
Exactly, the guy runs into punches. I know Nonito would love that fight.
Against Rigo, Donaire has an advantage in size (mass), reach, power, and chin. Rigo has a huge technique advantage, particularly in his ability to dictate distance and the pace of a fight as well as his general defensive skills. If Rigo were Donaire's size, Nonito would end up flat on his face before the fifth round. Regardless, unless Donaire hurts Rigo early with a punch he doesn't see, I see Rigo schooling him for 12 rounds.
I think Mares vs Donaire would be really entertaining IF and this is a huge IF Mares can take Nonito's punch, then it would be a good fight with Mares pressuring, honestly at this point, I just want to see somebody give Donaire a tough fight. I don't think he is going to see one until he moves up.
Lest we forget Mares was the best fight out there for Nonito until GBP gave Mares a way out of the fight. Rigondeaux is TR's convenient replacement. My take is five rounds will be too long for Nonito.
