[QUOTE=BoriBlaze1;13220628]Canelo is just as big of a star as Mayweather is. 40,000 fans! That's huge. Floyd Mayweather can't even sell out his fights that seat 14,000

Canelo vs Mayweather will not happen anytime soon.

I think Mayweather will fight an AMir Khan or Timothy Bradley, Victor Ortiz rematch before he fights Canelo.

If Canelo beats Trout he will become a bigger star then his already is.
Then you will see a Canelo vs Cotto PPV in the fall. Since Canelo has already mentioned that as his next move.[/QUOT

how is canelo a bigger star than floyd when he's never headlined a ppv? 40,000 tickets sold at 10 dollars a piece. you cant get a seat at the movies for 10 dollars to watch a floyd ppv. is he ducking canelo? i think its too early to say. i think if they fight in the fall, the fight will probably do around 1.5 million buys. if they wait til cinco de mayo 2014, i think they can break the ppv record

Kirk-Canelo was supposed to happen when Kirk became the mandatory after he whacked Angulo.

After the Molina fight, Kirk said he injured his shoulder before the Molina fight and wouldn't be available until fall of that year. GB then tried to make Kirk fight injured "before" the date he said he would be available; thus adding to the already strained relationship between Kirk-GBP.

So again, if Canelo wanted to fight Kirk, he would've fought him after Kirk beat Angulo. Instead he opted to fight Shane Mosley.

Maybe if Canelo would've put his foot down like he's doing now, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Good job on Canelo for having his first real fight. But I'm not the type of guy to reward people for doing what they're supposed to do.

He may trick you guys with that bogus psychology of fighting lesser tier people so when he finally does step up and fight someone in his weight class for the first time, everyone is all excited and feels he should be rewarded with this huge payday against Mayweather. They might trick you guys with those old dusty tactics, but not me. Even if he does beat Trout, he needs at least one more marquee win before he "deserves" a Mayweather fight.

In other words, let's use this analogy. Canelo is like the kid in High School with behavioral problems (i.e. suspeneded, being put in detention, etc). Well the one year, he doesn't get in trouble or get suspended, turns in homework on time, etc, everyone wants to throw this kid a homecoming party, take him to Applebees to celebrate or what have you; while the kids who have been on honor roll since Freshman year and never got suspended one time don't even get recognized (i.e. Lara, Kirk, Angulo, Molina and everyone else at 154 doing what they had to do).

Again, some of you guys might fall for these old/rusty tactics, but not I.

Damn bro you went in hard with this lesson!! These guys are so used to the trash and being bamboozled that they feel vindicated and wanna hand out props for guys doing what they should have been doing for years lol.

It's like having a racecar and beating the crap outs stock pinto's and acting like a boss and when you finally decide to race another racecar everyone acts like you're moving mountains and $h!t.

he probably would've had 100,000 fans if they started giving the tickets away earlier.

                    2 things here,
1st thing is incorrect and the 2nd thing is disrespectful.
1st thing, canelo is very big in mehiho and fmj is massive worldwide.(big difference).
2nd thing, miguel cotto is elite class and has been for the last 5-10 years,
why diss the geezer for being in big fights? its not about the numerous belts these days it is about 2 things....the money or the great fight and with cotto its about the great fights.
                    who has he ever avoided?
yes, jennings is **** but, undefeated at the time and ranked number one by the ****ty WBO at the time to fight him.
                    is that miguels fault?
hes beaten top drawer fighters all along and avenged all defeats bar one.
nothing to prove, total proffessional through and through.
by the way, canelo fought a waaaay over the hill ryan rhodes on a second wind and what did you say about that?
i said then and i will say it again, if that fight had of taken place when ryan was canelos age it would have ended canelos "0" loss status.
