I mean he's doing what he's supposed to do, fight the best fighter around his weight available. Good for him he's finally doing so.
You have to do dat now. When you get bamboozled for so long, seeing a fighter do what he's supposed to do is so weird that you end up giving props for nothing.

No argument, he's doing what he was supposed to be doing this whole time.I wonder if Floyd will step up against the winner

It's time for Canelo to finally ditch the diapers. You just can't cut in line and expect a Mayweather shot with out doing anything in your division being a paper champ. I can only accept him in the Mayweather sweepstakes if he beats Trout without controversy. A big if.

Cotto stan smack talking about someone being a paper champ. You certainly didn't complain when Cotto was fighting the Jennings of the world for a belt, a belt he waited for Williams to vacate. Cotto's belt history is mostly made up of vacant belts.

Canelo wanted Kirkland last year - Kirkland priced himself out. Canelo did take some easy fights for a while, but he tries to take a tough opponent last yr and couldnt make the fights wit P. Will and Kirkland. Now hes fighting Trout - the toughest challenge he could take at '54
Plus anyone that's asking whether they think Mayweather fights the winner of Canelo v. Trout - the answer is obvious - no. for the same reason Mayweather wouldn't fight Pacquiao or Martinez at '54. b/c its a dangerous fight. all boxing fans should know by now that Mayweather never takes a fight in which he's not an overwhelming favoite to win.
he's the master of taking a fighter who looks to be a decent opponent, but is either built up from 1-2 decent wins (Ortiz, Guererro), or past their prime (Mosely, Cotto).
In actuality, only Marquez has won na decent fight since losing to May - all his past few opponents (Ortiz, Mosely, Cotto) haven't done **** since fighting may - bc Mosely and Cotto were done and Ortiz was never good to begin with. I am so sick of Maywether - and him denying fight fans of the Pac fight was the final straw - the fact that after Pac agreed to all steroid testing, then all of sudden, 50/50 was no good - showed that he would always have an excuse and was just waiting for someone else to take him out.
I refuse to buy Mayweather PPVs - last one I bought was Ortiz - and we know how that joke of a fight turned out. May makes tens of millions per fights bc of his fans, yet won't agree to any fights the fans truly want to see - Pac, Martinez and now Canelo.
watch, guaranteed Canelo never gets the fight. If he does - then I'll admit I was 100% wrong (as we know Arum was just as much to blame for the Pac fight not happening) - but Mayweather will look for another built up opponent - like Danny Garcia, instead of tasking a truly tough challenge like Canelo

this is funny of oscar. he is the one that put canelo on mayweather's under cards to get that ppv exposure, including may 4th until that fell apart.oscar its ok to back your fighter but atleast keep it real.

I think we can all agree this was beneficial for everyone involved.

Seriously who has canelo beat to think that he has a chance of beating mayweather. Shane Mosley perhaps? Anyways it will be good fight for Floyd if Canelo wins. He'll be fighting another undefeated, younger, stronger, and bigger opponent. That would only make his resume look better. He has to get through guerrero first which i think he will have no problem doing.
