  • without Pac, JMM doesn't really have much of a legacy

    • i dont understand why people say marquez was robbed 3 times.

the first fight pac should have won but it was ruled a draw
the second fight i had a draw but pac got the win
third fight was a landslide for marquez imo and the only fight i believe he got 'robbed' in
the fourth fight was close till pac got ktfo

but to answer ur question, pac will go down as the better fighter. his resume is greater

      • These two fighters are definitely both certified first ballot HOF and ATGs. The only way I could think of rating them is by taking them out of each others resume and compare what's left. I would say Pac has the better resume even without the 3 controversial decisions and the KTFOHEFLDOFH he received in the last fight.

Both men will be talked about hand in hand years from now. Just like Ali-Frazier.

We're so lucky to be living during these two fighters era.

he was thoroughly outbox by marquez, but never cooled down on his work rate.

i dont think marquez can beat the margarito that pacquiao fought.
          Nor could PAC without juice

If JMM's better, you'd think he would have used his ability to beat better fighters, making loads of cash along the way. But he didn't, he struggled plenty with the likes of Kats, Diaz, washed up Casa and well past prime Barrera.

Remove Pac from his resume, what are his 2 top wins?
That's funny that you say that! Although he is starting out, Gary Russel Jr does seem to fight smarter than Manny does in his fights. He might not have no where near the names and caliber of fighters as Manny does but as far as just technical skills of boxing, yes he may be more skilled than him. Manny is too reckless and when you frustrate him he lunges in horribly off balance. So when you're trying ask a question to make a point about Pac being more skilled at least make sure he can master basic balance before you try speaking on skills. Just a thought.

Marquez IS the better fighter, that's clear to anyone who knows what they're looking at. If Pac was as skillful as you claim then how in the hell after as many fights as he had, he has yet to figure out how to make an adjustment against a guy who he's fought more than anyone else? Marquez makes adjustment after adjustment when facing Pac. Pac just fights harder but has shown that he is incapable of fighting smarter. Yeah Marquez struggled and came thru and knocked out 3 of those 4 fighters and was close to putting Barrera away for a minute. When Marquez struggles its because a fighter has figured out a way to bother him, when Pac struggles, more than half of the time its his own doing.

Removing Pac or not removing him, what difference does it make when were talking skills? I said clearly that if were talking accomplishments then its Manny, but if were talking skills of a better fighter then its Marquez !

            • Pacquiao is greater. Between the two of them, JMM can make a strong case for being the better man but JMM hasn't accomplish what Pac had. I can't see JMM moving up multiple weight divisions and be as successful as Pac.

              • Both ATGs but I have so many issues with what ATG, his behavior was as bad as Floyd to me, you could argue he has titles in a 8 classes but really it's 6 cause two were at catchweights, I'll remember JMM much better.
