Between Marquez and Pacquiao throughout their rivalries Marquez has shown to be the technical better of the two. He made adjustments and Manny couldn't. Marquez proved he is the better of the two. Roy and Tarver don't have nothing to do with this. But if you want to get technical Tarver beat Roy 3 times but got robbed in the first fight. Manny got laid out cold in the 6th round. Manny can't and will not beat Marquez without controversy if Marquez doesn't KO him again first.

Fighters fight to win championships. A paper belt to you means the world to a fighter.

Becoming a 5 division world champion is important to Marquez and one of the last goals that he wants to accomplish in this sport. Why are you downplaying one of his career aspirations just because it doesn't mean much to you?

He's put in work, he's a legend, he's a HOF'er and he can do whatever the **** he wants to do at this point in his career.

well said man it wasn't a paper belt when pac had it for so long now it's trash cause other fighters have it hhhmm i'm seeing alot of hurt pac fans showing alot of real hate for marquez this dude is nothing but heart,determination,dedication when it comes to fighting someone this dude never shows a happy side till after the fight is done you should send pac a few notes instead of him playing basketball with idiots

Ummmm..... I actually posted pictures of myself on here because I don't give a $#!t like most on here hiding behind their computers (like you for instance). Manny has not convincingly beat Marquez in 3 of their 4 fights before getting KO'd in the 4th. Marquez is the better fighter and proved it. Case closed.

I do most of my boxing talk with my friends in actual boxing gyms so if you really think I'm hiding behind a computer just f'n PM me n I'll give you my facebook, my phone #, my zip code n whateva else u want because I don't give a ***** neither. If u believe Marquez is a better fighter that's fine, but that's an opinion and nothing more. I go by the whole body of work throughout ALL FOUR fights and although I think Marquez is a more intelligent and better technical fighter, for the most part I believe they are evenly matched and wouldn't mind seeing these 2 guys fight 20 more fights like any other true fan of boxing should.. Only people that don't want to see this fight are people who don't want to see Pac get a shot to redeem himself from the K.O., and that's fine but don't sit there an act like JMM dominated Pac four times proving he's so much better because last I checked he only K.O.'d him once and Marquez was actually LOSING on the cards before he landed the shot. The other three were very competitive fights.

It's probably still under negotiation, but I think 15 is a realistic and fair target.
