  • [QUOTE=GRUSTLER;13218629] The blue print is laid out on him. He's a sucker for a counter right. Deal with it.[QUOTE]

Yeah guessing everyones planning to get pummeled to death and then hope pacman switches off at the end of round so they land that "counter right"

    • I favor Bradley in this one, but you can never count out Marquez.
We'll see Marquez Vs Pac 5 after it will be both their retirement fight.

You think they want to stage another 400k ppv, or for that matter that HBO wants to invest in that when showtime is clearly going to be doing better numbers? Don't think so..despite how much we want this fight it's not going to happen outside of hbo telecast.
In those days, Mayweather was PPV king, and Oscar had been before him. It was 2008.

Marquez also had PPVs with Juan Diaz and Fedchenko, but I can't find the numbers anywhere. I'm sure they didn't do great, but they probably did well enough.

If Marquez-Bradley did 400k, they'd be ecstatic. I bet it would too.

          Absolutely.
Because both men needed each other for their highest pay days and neither fighter will ever be able to find that kind of money in another opponent. No it didn't happen but it was over ego not money.

Bradely would fight jmm even if means taking a smaller purse because he knows its open up the gate if he wins to fight your sell out hero pac. suck on this
I'm not a pacquaio fan nor am I a marquez fan..honestly couldn't give a fk about either man but since you want to assume...you are too damned ****** to face the reality of the sport you are talking about. Money means everything to these guys..Bradley is undefeated and nearly 30 after 30 in the sport most boxers start falling apart if you are dumb enough to take $2 million instead of $8 million that's your choice. I don't think any boxer in his right mind is going to turn down $8 million with a chance to settle the public's opinion on his win to fight a guy who really brings nothing to the table not even a belt but hey I know logical thought is somethign you seem incapable of processing but it's cool. Open gate to fight Pacquaio? Lol..he could get a pacquaio fight right now if he wanted..he doesn't need JMM to fight Pacquaio again. Neither man needs each other.

You'll get em next time champ.
Again I'm not a fan of either man..my boxer was Cotto who is virtually done in the sport. If anything I dislike Pacquiao but good try in justifying your idiotic rantings. I know getting owned sucks but you keep railing and railing and railing and making zero sense so I think it might be you who is a bit emotional.

That's what I've been saying. At some point you have to say "Ok time to move on", I don't understand why people wanna see Manny go to war again immediately after suffering a vicious KO. These guys are not video game characters, the damage accumulates.

Exactly, so stop focusing on money so much. Marquez has pride and refuses to let Arum dictate the terms of his career.

Yes 400k is a realistic target, but do the math, is it enough to keep everyone happy? Both guys expect 5m+, you'd think, and 400 would fall short of that.

In this climate of million buys, HBO is not investing that kind of money to sell 400k in buys..just not smart business..unless they can manage to have an absolutely "CAN'T MISS" undercard I don't see how that would be good business. Canelo could do 400k in ppv's there's a reason why he's about to headline his first because he's fighting someone ppl want to to tune in to watch him fight against and both men are undefeated and future faces for the sport..the same does not apply here.

Outside of Mayweather and Pacquiao, no one, absolutely no one, does a million buys. So yeah, I think they'd be happy with 400-500k.

650k is the minimum these days to consider an event successful, 400k is a disappointment unless you have a slew of boxers making a few hundred thousand each and putting up those kind of numbers. Look at what donaire vs rigo is earning them..2.5 million a piece and being held in a theatre up the block from my apt in nyc and they expect around 650k-700k in total global ppv only because of Donaire's name.

No I get that. I just dont see how the numbers add up, unless both guys are willing to take 4m or less. I sure dont see them getting big guarantees, they can gamble on the ppv upside.
