I saw the fight and scored 115-112 for the boxer of Vegas. I do agree with the comment above: Martinez appearing at # 13 in boxrec just confirms that he is considered a mediocre champiion. He hasn't defeated any important boxer and in his last 3 fights he has been benefited with two controversial split decisions (in 2 very close fights) and got a tie which was clearly a defeat vs. Burgos. Mtz is alredady 30 years old and I don't believe he can get any better of what he has already shown but I guess his mediocre career should be satisfying a lot to his followers and/or country people.

I don't know what fight some of you were watching. A clear victory for Martinez. Magdalena was nowhere near as effective as Burgos against Rocky. I'm surprised to see so much hate directed at Martinez. He always comes in top condition, never takes a backward step, makes every fight a war, and gives the fans their $$$ worth.
