He could be bigger than Pac just off sheer nationalism and economically.. China..the people who think of Yao as Wilt lol. He basically just has to never lose and he'll be GOAT there...even if hes just beating cans.

Will he be BETTER than Pac an more beloved outside his country? Lmfao... HIGHLY unlikely

Dunno, I like his demeanor though, he comes off as a cool, laid back, respectful guy....."too cool for school" I have seen him training in vids and he resembles Pac stylistically when punching so Ill see tomorrow what he does in an actual fight. I have a feeling he will blow opponents away though.

when will mofos understand... Shiming isn't meant for the American market. of course Americans won't give a sh-it... there's no need for any more of these type of threads.

He will be a big star in China I don't know about the US.

China has become a big emerging economy so Bob is smart to try and hype him up. Will he be big in the US? Doubt it. It's incredibly hard for any boxer to become a big star in the U.S. Outside of Floyd and Pacquiao there aren't really any mainstream boxers.

                Hell no.

This American hype business is just to up his fame back home, where he will be a big moneymaker in the future if all goes to plan.

If he becomes a star in China, he's set for life

A lot of people refuse to acknowledge this because of our often western-centric points of view
Not true at all it's the so fact that no one gives a dam about the lower weights

IF Zou Shiming is a big star or this is going to be the most watched boxing match, how come his name isn't really high in searched traffic? when you type his name in that google insight thing?

He'll be a Chinese star as long as they play it safe and take baby steps. I just watched the debut, and he's clearly got a lot to work on. With that said, he does some things well and obviously has fast hands and pretty good movement.

The hands down + occasional sloppy punching is a recipe for disaster though. He's lucky he was only fighting a 12-year-old, and hell, things could have taken a turn later had the fight been longer. Freddie's got his work cut out for him.
