Comments Thread For: Robert Helenius is Again Sidelined With a Hand Injury

Heavyweight Robert Helenius, 19-0, is again sidelined with a hand injury and according to news from boxen.com, Sauerlandīs website, Helenius must rest his right hand for six weeks. However, there are rumors of a worse injury and a layoff of up to six months.

There must also be questions asked to when the hand was injured. Anyone who saw Helenius' fight with Michael Sprott on March 23 in Magdeburg could tell that this wasnīt the Nordic Nightmare that stopped the likes of Sergey Liakhovich, Samuel Peter or Lamont Brewster and he didnīt use his devastating right hand at any time during the fight against Sprott. Sucks for him. Like Dibella said after the fight. I'll only want to see him fight if he's challenging himself against a big name. Other than that, I don't wanna see him fight again.

Bad news... really had high hopes for him to step up
and become a serious top 5 HW. He might have to start
          selling grills in Norway

He's a Finn born in Sweden fighting out of Germany and he owes Chisora a rematch.

Helenius was making such a splash with those KOs. No he's the world most boring, seemingly feather fisted HW

Well f-ck you haters. True, Helenius has been a disappointment since Liakhovich fight, but it must be kind of difficult to fight with injuries, especially when itīs his best weapon thatīs missing.

hope he can shake the injury bug...

he was looking like he was going to be a real force & legit contender for the klitschkos. he has now had 2 hand injuries & major shoulder surgery. his last 3 fights have been less then stellar but he still got wins over sprott, sherman williams & a hometown decision against chisora. who knows how long he will be out? chagaev was the first who couldn't stay healthy then it was boytsov & now you can add helenius. david rodriguez is in his mid 30s too & has had bad luck with injuries & outside the ring issues. helenius isn't old by any means so he has time but i hope he can get back in there asap...
