Oh look, more people discrediting a solid win...
I can't help but notice that noone mentions that fact that Trout was the HUGE underdog for this fight, given Cotto was coming off a pretty decent performance against Mayweather. Noone mentions the mental perseverance it takes to go to a place where a top fighter has never lost, as a huge underdog, with the challenger dictating the terms as if he was the champion, and come out on top. Noone mentions Trout's rangy jab, or his great straight left to the body. Could Cotto have faded quicker because of that? Nah, priority no.1 is to discredit the win at all costs. Noone mentions the fact that the shots landed by Cotto had little effect on Trout? When he got hit, he simply moved and carried on boxing. He didn't wobble, struggle or look hurt.
As for all these fading comments, you think Canelo is much better in that department?
