Wladimir said Wilder was the best sparring partner he's had, and thinks Deontay will rule the heavyweight division after he retires.

The link is in my heavyweight schedule thread from a few months ago.

i will be skeptical of wilder much like i was skeptical of david price. i wouldn't get too excited about price until he took a legit HWs punch & i think the exact same thing about wilder. mitchell & price have both fallen down so i'm wondering if wilder will be next? too many unanswered questions to this point. the only way these fighters will see where they really stand in the division is if they fight each other or at least fight good opposition.anyone with some skill can build a 30-0 record fighting stiffs & journeymen. how will they respond if their opponent doesn't fall down when they get hit by their best shot? a couple of losses vs quality opposition will help your career more then fighting cans & being protected. most of the greats had a hiccup or 2 at one point...

Why do the British writers do this all the time? Who the F said Deontay Wilder is the USA's #1 HW?? No one thinks that...Stop trying to set up the British fans with unrealistic expectations. They wont be seeing the best HW from America if they tune in or buy a ticket to the show. Audley wont be pulling the greatest upset in the history, or even the year, in boxing if he wins. If he loses, its because he wasnt as good as a decent prospect, which is what Wilder is, not that he lost to a future ATG or something and it should be taken with a grain of salt....Also, how could Wilder be the best american HW, when they already said Fury is fighting the best American heavyweight in Steve Cunningham? Hahaha....Seriously though, neither of them are top 5 HW's in the US. Save the hyperbole, sales gimmicks, and shennanigans for Professional Wrestling.

Wilder cannot stop destiny. That big left hand is coming, and there's not a man born from his mother who can stop it.

I've got my Audley tinted glasses on! I believe. This is redemption!

Agreed Jennings is slicker boxer,I'm also hot on Malik Scott right now,he's has better all round skills than Wilder IMO.Im also a Banks fan,I had him down to school Mitchell, although I didn't think he'd drop him in 2.

Whilst I don't believe Wilder is overrated,I think he's drawing unfair criticism,he's had little chance to showcase his talent,Harrison is a bum,he's going down in 1 round.

Agreed, some writers must believe, that genuine boxing fans won't question their article.not sure why personally.its not asthough casual fans will be reading about Wilder and Cunningham from the uk,maybe its wrote for the casuals to build up the likes of Fury in their eyes.

                Not sure that's true, Freedom.

Some photos surfaced of Wilder's swollen face. He had some cuts, too.

Apparently he was knocked around the ring by Wlad.
