The being owed $20k thing, I have no idea about. Sampson probably isn't lying and really thinks he's owed $20k, but it's also possible he's wrong for whatever reason and Schaefer doesn't really owe him that. Whatever.

On the other hand, I have no reason not to believe Sampson when he said he wouldn't be allowed on Showtime because of the Sept 15 date. That's pretty shady.

Someone at Showtime (or its parents company) really needs to look into the relationship between Showtime Sports and GBP. It cannot be healthy to affiliate yourself to the company you used to work for, as Espinoza is doing.

I honestly get the feeling that this SHO-GBP link-up is going to end badly for Showtime, like when Audley Harrison strung the BBC along here in England, and then they never invested in boxing again.
