It was getting interesting and if Ortiz could have kept from being broke down mentally and fight like he fought Ortiz, it would have been a VERY interesting fight because Floyd would have had to respect his power.
That would have been a good little scrap. Floyd was showing a lot of legs in this fight. I do feel pretty cheated. I'd be down for part 2 if Ortiz could do some shyt.

That said Floyd wins this, I see him landing too many clean shots in close and probably even stopping Guerrero.
      Pretty much. Its common sense.

Respecting power and wanting to regain confidence and dominance in a fight after being caught are two different things man. Floyd got caught in an exchange by Mosley and got hurt. He wanted to reestablish himself after, just like he did when Corley caught him. That's because Mayweather is a dog when he has to be. But he is not going to invite a heavy hitter to his jaw. They will have to earn it just like Mosley did. He was respecting Ortiz power already. Look at the flurry he opened up round 4 with, the moment Ortiz came out of his shell and threw a very nasty hook, Floyd backed off.

Ability wise no and shouldn't be. Mentally and effort hell yes. Guerrero has a belief, respect and pride about himself that Ortiz didn't and that will make him a tougher opponent.

Before the Berto fight, I would agree with you. But Ortiz showed every bit the heart and will that Guerrero has shown in his fight with Berto. You have to give him credit there.

Dude the fight was a mismatch. Whether in went 4 or 15 Ortiz was taking a beating.

I definitely think so, Ortiz is a headcase and will wind up like Gatti did... only with Gatti apparently not many knew of his issues and unfortunately he didn't get the help he needed (that is beside the fact that they are still not sure if it was murder or not) in time.

no, not at all. floyd dominates them both easily technique and skill-wise but at least ortiz have the power to make floyd think twice. guerrero has nothing on floyd. you can say guerrero is not a mental midget like ortiz but it doesn't mean anything because one of the things that floyd excels is his mental game.

It wouldn't have been an interesting fight as the fact that Ortiz broke down mentally indicated that he was unable to adapt. What Mayweather said about things being different in the ring that out on TV rings true to what happened in that fight.

Ortiz got outclassed for 3 rounds and knocked out in the 4th for being a *****. I expect Guerrero to do way better than that.
