Am not even going to get into the he was ducked stuff again, like I said from day one, Sturm was the only fighter that I could stand on and say yes he ducked him, the rest nope. People looking at other options or other lucrative offers, or the timing etc coming off injuries etc. Boxing is about timing too, the world does not revolve around GGG, he came to the USA in September and after fighting Proksa, rosado and Ishida he would be getting his chance at exposure (that's not ducking) period, and yes GGG would beat Macklin and like I said you guys tried your best to put people off him, am just glad we have a MW who can put, take a punch and entertain because am a boxing fan not a fanboy.

Where do you see me picking on Macklin? I give him props for going in against all odds. As for me saying it's gonna be ugly for him, that's not hating, that's the opinion of 95% of NSB, including windups like Ray and probably you. I allow that he's smart enough to recognize that, as his words would imply. So why are you picking a fight again?
Macklin losing this fight would make 3 Ls on his record out of this last 4 fights, which would hurt is career greatly. He's not an aging Ishida who has nothing to lose and is just in it for the paycheck. Macklin is capable of having a full career ahead of him that would go perfectly fine without ever having to face Golovkin. Nobody forced him. He could wait out and fight the easier title holders. He could have big fights with the other British middleweights. And he had the opportunity to fight Chavez, but took Golovkin instead. He's obviously taking this fight with the intention to win, not to take a beating.
But no, he's still scared and know she's going to lose and its the reason why he was ducking!Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 04-04-2013, 03:29 PM.Comment

Well you don't see me saying he'll destroy Ward or Martinez or Froch, only Macklin, not so controversial. I step in when people whine, when is he gonna step up against guys like A, B, C. So I show them a link that A, B, C passed on multiple offers, usually much better than what else was available (except in terms of getting ass kicked). Some guys are receptive to evidence, but I see a few that will ignore it happily and keep asking the same question.Comment

I will fly to New York for this one, this will be Gennady's jumping off point as I predicted to much bigger and better things for him. GGG by KO within 6 rds.Comment

I'm picking Golovkin, but I respect Macklin enough not to think he has to be "dumb" to think he's capable of winning. Obvious he knows he's the underdog, but saying Macklin knows he's going in to take a beating and lose is another thing. By saying he's know's he's going to lose, you're basically implying he was scared of Golovkin all this time (and hey, you were right all along. he was ducking!).

WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (26-0, 23KOs) is likely to defend his titles against Matthew Macklin (29-4, 20KOs), subject to contracts, on June 29th in the main event of an HBO televised tripleheader in New York. Golovkin is blowing through the division like a tornado and the Kazakhstan bomber's reputation that he has become one of the most avoided men at 160-pounds. He already stopped Gabe Rosado and Nobuhiro Ishida since the start of the year.

As you saw from that interview, they've been pushing that fight on him for a month. Yes, that includes LDB who's promoting the card, but unless his MW contender is willing, he's only got fighters on the undercard. I don't really know what would be the alternative for Macklin, if he passed this time. I think HBO is about to make it harder for all these guys to keep ducking him, unless they stay abroad or sign with GBP.Comment

Macklin offered fights to Lee and Lemieux recently and got rebuffed. Murray is unavailable, and Barker has bigger fish to fry for early summer.Comment

Macklin said the Lemieux rumors were false. And Barker was calling out Macklin earlier in the year before the Barker got the Chavez call. If they can't happen in June, they could hold them in some other time. The point is that he has options outside of HBO. He doesn't need HBO as bad as some other fighters. He has 3 other British middleweights that he could eventually fight and they would all be huge fights over there.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 04-04-2013, 03:55 PM.Comment
