I'll be rooting for Cotto in either fight but reality is, he should't even be fighting at 154, specially not 160. He won a few fights there but they were just against lesser competition. He needs better advisors, lose that S&C coach and get a real one, come down to 147 and go out on some good wins. I think a Canelo fight would be competitive but against Martinez he would be stopped hard.

Like other posters have said, it'll be Canelo-Cotto in September win or lose.

Two bad choices for Cotto at this point in his career. He would have a better chance against Canelo and a bigger payday but Martinez would do serious damage to him.

He should stay well away from Martinez, that would be brutal.

I've known this for quite a while now, a interview will be done in a couple of days.

He realy wants that padyday vs Canelo and He wants to fight Martinez for legacy win, lose or draw
Damn... is he asking for a brutal KO or what? I like Cotto but he don't have much chances in either. Martinez is like Trout x10

              Don't do it Cotto!

Take on Ishida and snatch another belt.

Canelo would ragdoll you and force you into taking two knees this time. Martinez would lay him out.

Canelo hasnt shown me anything for to say he beats Miguel. Canelo was getting tagged fairly easy against a weak amateur looking Cintron. Lets see how he does against Trout, I see Trout outboxing him to a UD. Martinez is a bad matchup for Cotto style wise , but Martinez dropping his hands wont be good for him against a guy like Cotto.
