I think this fight is a big mistake. If he lost again, in the same way, his career would be over. Fight someone else first.
I am differentiating yes. Price was never really, how can I put this, "hurt" (if that makes sense?). It was like he lost his balance/equilibrium and he couldn't regain it in time.

I don't see it being a mistake. Ballsy, definitely.

A lot of people on here chastise fighters for not fighting the tough fights or rematching tough fights (I mean look at the **** Khan gets for not fighting Maidana or Prescott again).

As I said, fair play to Price.

He seems a mentally tough kid and it'll be interesting to see how he approaches it.

His career would not be over, not by a long shot. Look at Wlad.

To be fair his chin still hasn't been tested. Thompson never really cracked his chin, he caught him on the ear if I remember correctly.

Be interesting to see how Price approaches this fight.
"Chin" is often used as a synonym for punch resistance. Those with a poor chin often have poor punch resistance in general. Think of how Khan was hurt against Prescott by a punch to the top of the head and against Garcia by a punch to the neck.

I don't think the rematch is a good idea. Even if Price wins it is 1 win each. To truly get the better of Thompson Price would have to win the rematch and then win a rubber match. This is one reason I don't like rematches. After 2 fights you can be back to square one.

I see where you're coming from but what's the alternative?

If I recall correctly Price has been knocked down and out in the amateurs?

His chin has been checked in the amateurs, its just given time when he gets caught once more and timber, we get to see David Price do his Amir Khan dance

It doesn't make sense, they discovered Price wasn't ready for Thompson so what do they do? They throw him in with Thompson again. Any chance of success Price had is going to be ruined by bad management.

                Didn't they same about Wlad?

The only thing that I'd be worried about if I was a Price fan is I'm sure I read somewhere that he won't change his style or something like that.

There's no doubt after each loss (no matter how he comes about) it's when you should look at adjusting certain things.

                Wlad did. Will Price?

Glad he's going straight back at Thompson.

Price's problem isn't his inability to take a punch (well, it is, but he can't change that) but the fact that he can't inside fight. He was totally out of shape when he got clocked by Thompson. It does not look like something that they worked on in the gym at all. He showed no good habits on the inside.

Big fight for Price, if he was to lose again it would be all the way back to step one for him.
That said i'm glad he's taking the rematch. I like to see guys trying to avenge defeats.

Yes he has been chinned in the amateurs, and that was with head guards and big pillows on their fists.

Price got sent to ***** street by a pensioner. As soon as he gets clubbed again he will be flailing around like a chimp on roller skates.
