That rediculous why would they drop their highest grossing PPV boxer.

Get your facts straight mayweather is the highest grossing ppv star.
If you havent noticed he is the most payed sportman of 2012 and he does not even recieve any endorsement.
And even if he was number 2 why the hell would they drop him it would very bad business decision and HBO is in the business of making money
Hence why it is called PAY PER VIEW.

                  Thanks to Floyd, obviously.

Now all of that PPV money is going to showtime. HBO has been having budget problems for years, they were basically forced to have Hopkins/Dawson II on ppv in order to make some money back

Think about it mofos... if Floyd's fights 2x a year that's gonna eat up most of Showtime's budget. there won't be any money left for GBP other " stars". and Showtime's budget is still less than HBO's budget. GBP's only selling point to their stable is that if you fight for scraps on Showtime, you might win the Floyd lottery.

Hopkins/ Dawson went to ppv because HBO didn't want to pay the purses that there guys were asking for. they knew it wasn't a fan friendly fight
