I think he should have moved up in weight a long time ago, opposed to staying in a weak division. But Tarver aint the only one he cherrypicked. Its plenty of fighters he ducked, cherrypicked. Tarver is only one fighter. I already told you, I agree with you, that he has a great legacy. But its still structured. And one more thing. I left comments about a bevy of fighters. Your picking and choosing certain things to talk about. Talk about all of it, and not just one thing. Thats cowardice behavior to me.

He started punching WHILE eating shots, opposed to trying to punch and avoid. I think he will stop Martinez in the rematch within 6 rounds, since he knows this now.
I personally believe that Junior was eating punches simply because he is B level fighter. A B level fighter that has been hanging onto his fathers coattails for way to long.

You're still not answering when he should've fought Tarver though? How can you cherrypick a guy coming off his biggest win? was ortiz a cherrypick for floyd...was mosley or marquez?

-Why would he move up in weight? He wanted Monzon's title defense record and he wanted to fight in the MW tourney. He was a huge underdog in that tournament and deserved a chance to finally unify the titles.

        • With all due respect to Andy Lee, and I genuinely like the guy, Chavez Jr was all sorts of wrong for him. The reality with Lee is that if someone is willing to kick the front door down, he's almost powerless to stand up to them on the inside. He's practically defenceless being honest about it.

In a way I was glad to see him get a shot, but after how he performed in the Rubio fight, I was pretty certain that Jr was going to walk through him. Jr is big and powerful at 160, Lee just looks weak and fragile. Too easy to bully. It's not there are no top fighters he can hang with in the middleweight division. It's just that Chavez Jr is not one of them. Nor is Golovkin for that matter.

I was surprised as I thought lee was going to stick and move like he did in the beginning of the fight. Once he ate maybe 3 flush punches, I saw how he reacted and I knew is was going downhill fast. I'll give Chavez credit too, he has a very underrated inside body attack, especially against the ropes. If you get trapped against the ropes and you don't have anything to back Chavez up, you aren't going to last too long.

Come on, quit acting like your too dumb to understand what Im saying. Yea Chavez was getting outboxed. But he spent most of the fight intimidated by Martinez speed. And scared to get hit. As time went on, he realized that Martinez couldnt hurt him. So he started punching while getting hit. In the rematch, I believe he will stop Martinez in 6 rounds, and Im a Martinez fan.

He stayed their because the guys were allot smaller than him. Everyone Bhop fights, their is strategy in picking the opponents. I know this is hard for you to hear, and I know its your first time hearing the truth. But Bhop and Floyd are one in the same. Bhop can be controlled a little bit more than Floyd can be though. Floyd would have dropped the belt, if they forced him to fight Pac.

                • who is quillin let see here

a fighter with no fan base
                  no foot work
                  no ring iq
                  no speed
has the deer in the headlight look because he doest know what to do in the ring.
                  good punching power so far
decent chin but has not been tested yet.

sounds like a club fighter to me.
so why do people think this kid good? it simply boggles the mind.

No he stayed there because he was the champ there. Echols was huge. So was Holmes, and Mercado. Hopkins is ALWAYS in shape and rarely bloats up between fights. the only guys he was a lot bigger than were DLH and Brown.

Oscar, Brown, Cloud, Pascal. Why are you so bent on standing up for a ducker/facade fighter? I used to be a Floyd fan, until he ducked Pac. I cant call myself a boxing fan and make excuses for guys like that.
