The sparring partner was just standing there like there's a cement on his feet and still land a left hook! Donaire can move to the left or right and can counter both ways.
All I see with Rigo was his straight left! Donaire probably will counter that straight left all night. But I can see this ending with a counter left hook after rigo throw his right hook. Like the Montiel one, Rigo needs to make only 1 mistake and it will be over!Comment

I still think this is a pretty even fight but I think Rigo is gonna surprise him with his abilities.Comment

I have no doubt Rigo can outbox Donaire. My questions about him are all to do with his transition into being a true "professional" fighter, and being able to take a big shot from a legitimately hard puncher. I think there's still some uncertainty about him in that regard but I don't think anyone can argue he's talented as hell.Comment

Been trying reply ages. BS doesn't seem fast today, keeps disconnecting.
Anyway IMO to assasin, Rigo is perfect for Donaire. I may sound crazy but here:
Donaire isn't good at closing down and chasing a fighter, I agree.
Donaire doesn't fight on the back foot or inside that well.
However, he is a counter puncher and Rigo does dart in and out a lot. That's how he got dropped by a flash punch, and hurt by left hooks.
Rigo doesn't pressure too much nor does he run. Donaire will land and will win by stoppage. Rigo will mark Donaire up, but not enough to win.
Bump it up when it's all said and done.Comment
