Barrera could have fought him years ago, this is just his way of not loosing face for not fighting Jesus Chavez.

i agree mab is just saving face because he knows that most belive he is ducking pac....i personally belive that he does not want to fight pac...when he lost to junior jones he fought him in a re-match in his very next fight ....also he fought morales about 2 yrs. apart between each of their fights ...its been over 3 yrs. and still no pac re-match !!!!....pac has fought jmm and will have fought morales twice since his fight with mab, mab has fought morales and who else ??? there have been plenty of opportunity for a re-match but mab does not want it ...i also agree that he thinks erik will win that is why he is saying that he will fight pac "if he beats erik" if pac looses he can say that there is no intrest in a re-match because pac just lost...if pac beats erik mab better step up before i loose all respect for him ...

I can understand why Barrera said that he would fight Pacquiao only if he beats Morales. Why should Barrera fight Pacquiao after a loss to Morales? The media would say that Barrera is taking on Erik's leftovers. If Pacquiao loses to Morales, he should reestablish himself against an opponent who is highly rated, so that he has the right to fight Barrera and make good money.

did barrera take on highly rated opponents before he challenged morales for the title at 130??? NO. if morales can get a fight with pac after losing to MAB, then pac should be given his cahnce to trounce MAB again in case he losses... which will not happen
