Exactly. Floyd and Manny became mega stars after fighting Oscar.

Ward needs an opponent that can do what Oscar did for Manny and Floyd and Chavez Jr. is really the only guy with that kind of popularity.

But what Ward needs to realize is that Floyd and Manny had to leave their comfort zones and move up in weight to make the fight with Oscar. Ward will have to leave his comfort zone to get the fight with Chavez too.

The fake Christian wants a payday.

He knows a fight with chavez jr will pay him. & there is most certainly plenty of other fights out there but none (with the exception of maybe Froch in England) will pay him well. JCCJR is coming off a loss & isn't even at 168. Jr would needs the Martinez rematch given the circumstances in which that 12tj round went when JR. Came on strong.

Hey Ward, why not Golovkin who called you out? He's willing to go to 168. GGG will most certainly beat Ward.

Andre Ward is a joke. Can go **** himself

In amateur boxing the fighter at light heavyweight must weigh between 166 and 178lbs (same day weigh in). Andre Ward was small at the weight.

If Ward wants me to be at the floyd/manny level then being small at the weight does not matter. Manny is a former flyweight champion for christs sake. Even floyd fought at super featherweather and hes now at welter.

Chavez is bigger than Ward I don't understand why the fight should be fought at a catch weight. If anything it should be fought at 175 as Chavez wouldn't be so drained.

He should fight at 175 IF there is a big name there but the fact remains the bigger names and fights would still be at 168

I don't have much hate for this fight. JCC is so big it's probably for the best he move up.

He's got to get creative and leave his comfort zone if he wants that high profile fight. The money is at 160 with a Chavez Jr. or Martinez showdown. Give in on the weight and offer the fights at 164 or something.

And get out of Oakland. There's hundreds of thousands of fans around the world that love your skills and abilities and will pay to see you fight. Give them the chance to watch you peform your craft.
Exactly how I see it. I, personally, think Ward would utterly dominant JCC Jr. However, as much as I love SOG, he is never open to moving up or down, and that is going to hurt his career. Possibility more than the weight would.

He is one of my favorite fighters right now though. P4P #1 in my opinion.

Man if ward want a big money fight try martinez. I'm not payn 2 see chavez jr get outboxed again. His only shot bein 2 land a big punch. **** id watch ward hopkins before id watch him & chavez jr. Chavez needs some other fight to get his respect back. A ward fight doesn't make sense for either fighter.
