You have to take Jones' whole career into consideration. That includes him getting KTFO by Green and Lebdev, which certainly leaves a stain on his career. I don't know why he's still around. Winning a heavyweight title is impressive as a one time Middleweight but let's not forget it was John Ruiz he won the title from.

Pacquiao is more impressive, has fought the better opposition and took more risks. Everytime he has moved up in weight he has fought the best in that Divsion!

By the way I can't stand Pacman but you gotta respect his achievements

and at roy's age, could he?
Eight divisions yes but the same exact weight jump besides Roy Never faught at a catch-weight.
Both moved up 40lbs, but Pacquiao never in my view looked "unstoppable" like Junior did.

But has he ever looked as stoppable as Roy does in his later career? And it isn't like Roy has been getting destroyed by good fighter after good fighter. If he had any truly great technique he wouldn't be getting embarrassed like he has been for almost a decade.

We have JMM and Hopkins who prove just that. Craft is not something that just goes away once you can't move quite as fast as you use to.

What made Roy superman was the unreal athletic ability.

The craft and the skill were there, but they were all tied to his athletic ability. That was his style. B-Hop, Mayweather and the likes have a different style.

The things that made him superman were taken away when he moved down from HW. I don't even consider Roy's post-HW resume when I think about his greatness.

Agreed... If anything Ego had plagued Jones later career not adjusting with his age. Bernard on the other hand has had the style to extend his longevity, while Roy had refused to fight more defensively.

You left out some fighters but between these 2 Pacquiao is greater but not by much.

Maybe consistently but he never fought anyone as good as Hopkins or James Toney, so not really. Why should we consider his career as a whole, that's ******ed, that doesn't take away from his accomplishments, if we did that Roberto Duran wouldn't be called great. Just drop it man, you obviously have a man crush towards Pacquiao. You can make a case for Pacquiao without being irrational, I'd say Pacquiao is greater, Roy was the much better fighter however.
