Duane Ford has been around way too long, and he knows better. That is extremely troubling that he scored that round 10-8 and the fight to Rios.
he didnt give the fight to Rios...

you guys are extra critical of everything.. if he was conspiring to have Rios win he couldve scored the fight a draw or for Rios seeing how a few of those rounds were tight.

I scored the fight for Alvarado by 2 points, but it was really close. Alvarado knew if he fights another phone booth fight with Rios, he will lose again, so he chose to use his feet and dance. Close fight

So Rios just exposed in my opinion he's too much of a one trick pony. This time Alvarado boxed and only brawled in spots and won convincingly. Anybody that doesn't stand right in front Rios with decent power is going to beat him IMO.

Alvarado won a UD,Ford did not score the fight for Rios..Which was good, cause Rios really did clearly lose..

Wrong. He was nowhere NEAR finished. Buzzed and almost finished are 2 entirely different concepts.

They're not called the championship rounds for nothing. You wanna win, you need to turn up the last 3 rounds. Shaking your head at overhand rights doesn't score points with judges.

The irony was that Alvarado was starting to look a bit desperate late on. Rios was starting to shake him with jabs (again) and he was glancing at his corner. Rios needed to put the foot down and he probably could have dropped or stopped Alvarado but instead he just plodded forward and it was Alvarado who nearly pulled out the late knockdown.

              What fight were you watching?

Duh-Wayne Ford needs to go to the little home with shuffleboard and storytime daily. He clearly has no clue anymore. 10-8 second round? That's actually embarrassing to the sport of boxing. If that round scoring alone doesn't prove Ford is a joke, nothing does.

Guess nothing does..I'm sure Ford had his reason's for scoring the 2end 10-8..But the main point is the right guy got the nod..That's the important thing..

I agree the right guy won and that's most important, but I see it also as dodging a bullet. We've seen some really ignorant judging by Ford in recent years, and it's just a matter of time before there's another serious screwup. Just sayin.

                      I don't see 10-8 being crazy scoring for the 2nd round but let's keep it a 10-9.
                      I scored it 116-112.

                      R - A
                      10 - 9
                      10 - 9
                      9 - 10
                      9 - 10
                      10 - 9
                      9 - 10
                      9 - 10
                      9 - 10
                      9 - 10
                      9 - 10
                      10 - 9
                      9 - 10
