Mike came through as I expected....I'm 2 for 2 in this series!!!...I'm batting 1.000

Rios is one tough mother****er...that dude just keeps coming forward no matter WHAT!!!!...Mike did exactly what he needed to do....shook off that 2nd round and came back in typical Alvarado fashion...respect to BOTH dudes once again...they turned it up AGAIN!!...I see Mike left that philly shell defense to the slick cats ....good for him!!

I thought that was his most important adjustment. Rios couldn't miss in the first fight. In this one, he was having to work a lot harder to land.

Alvarado's movement on his feet probably helped him pace his own work more than anything else. I thought he basically punched himself out in the first fight.

Alvarado knew when to tie up, move, even turned southpaw jus' to confuse Rios every now and then, major props, I'd definitely like a 3rd fight, doesn't have to be right away though. To be fair, had Rios won he would have gotten Marquez most likely, in all fairness we should get Marquez-Alvarado as he's earned it and Ruslan-Rios.

I don't think Alvarado knew how to fight pressure fighters but you could see he learn from their first fight and then he implement it in their second fight, he still need a lot of work but he is getting there.

Its funny how some people like you call rios a bum when he tko alvarado. You call him a bum when he left a complete mess om alvarados face. Can a bum do that. Don't hate man today judges had it right and alvarado deserved the win.

Alot of peoplez are calling rios a bum or we have this adriana broner fans coming out and talking **** when their princess is over there fighting old, small feather fisted fighters. And we also have the garcia fans talking **** when garcia didnt want any but at least garcia has more balls then broner

Broner AND Rios are trash. Rios for his ignorant sore loser rant at the end, and for being pretty much one dimensional... Broner for being a prima donna thinking he's more than he is.. and exhibiting zero class throughout. Both will be exposed sooner than later. As for Alvarado's face.. he busts up easy. Lots of fighters do that. Means nothing in the grand scheme of things. He won. Decisively.

Exactly. Because Rios now is damaged goods. You could tell by the last 3-4 rounds by how he was acting. He just isn't smart enough to fight any other way. And his head is mush now. Back to 'good club fighter' days for him after the rubber match (that he loses by KO).

Correction: He WAS a beast. Alvarado has effectively stopped Rios' reign in that department.
