I'll tell you what happened. Floyd and Pacman happened. before there was canelo, it was dem.

Before there was floyd and Pacman, there was DLH. The difference of course being at least Oscar fought almost all the best of his era when he was in his prime. Then he passed the torch to those two, who in turn refused to pass the torch, but instead cherry pick left and right and milk the sport. Which in turn had promoters pamper and baby future stars and now all fight fans do is try and find the (next) ppv stars, like dummies.

Cause when you find the (next) ppv star, all you'll be paying for is dat star beating the brakes off of all no hopers in an attempt to make the most money while taking the least amount of risk. Blame Floyd/Pacman and their ****** a$$ fans.

Absolutely. Bradley doesn't belong at 147 in my opinion. Bob Arum wants to make money, that is why that fight happened. Same reason why Gamboa vs Brandon Rios almost happened. Arum wanted to make money.
Actually Bradley vs Provodnikov at 147 is also somehow the same thing: 2 light welterweights fighting for a welterweight world championship. The whole picture gets distorted. We don't really know how either of those 2 guys would do against other top welterweights.

It's all about the zero nowadays. And people like Haymon, GBP, etc., perpetuate it without shame. As if they'll be here in this planet forever. I mean people talk about how HBO will regret kicking out GBP. Man, if Broner/Malignaggi is a sample of a fight fans are going to see, who gives a damn?

Jack Johnson refused to fight colored fighters..dempsey refused to fight colored fighters..etc,etc

Yup SRL was a diva, with the likes of Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Benetiz and more on his resume. I'd say he deserved it. Atg, take the least on his resume is still greater than the best on Floyd or Pacman's. Please.

Resumes seem to get more glorified as time goes by man, wait until 20 years down the line and see how great their resumes look then

At the rate we're going with all these so called "fighters" cherrypicking then those guys' (Duran, SRL, Hagler, etc.) resume are gonna look monstrous!

I'm sorry. Did I misinterpret what you just wrote?? Are you implying that a resume like SRL's is receiving more glory than it deserves?? Are you saying that say Floyd beating say Corrales will be greater than SRL beating a Benitez in 20 years or so??

Cause personally I think in 20 years their resume (Floyd's/Pacman's) will still look like hot garbage compare to Leonard's.
