This fight makes no sense to me. yes I know it's a stay busy fight but almost all of GGGs fights are stay busy fights.

if Golovkin doesn't totally destroy Ishida it's going to look bad no matter how good he looks in winning a decision it will still go against him.

just look at the Rosado fight, he couldn't drop Rosado and was getting tagged quite a bit from a good b level guy. it was a good fight but Golovkin's expectations are so high that anything less than total destruction isn't good enough. they tried to cover it up some a total BS illness excuse instead of saying Rosado is tougher than we thought or maybe GGG isn't as good as the hype.

hype does nobody any good because anybody with the slightest bit of intelligence can totally debunk it.

the top guys at 160 aren't fighting Golovkin because he brings nothing to the table. why should Martinez or Chavez give up a PPV big money fight? Geale's had big Aussie fights and Sturm well I can't say much about that guy.

2nd tier guys at 160 like Vera and Rubio have been calling him out but K2 is letting Golovkin clean out the b level of the 154 divison.

this BS that fighters at 168 are duking him is ludicrous. Oosthuizen and Rodriguez turned down fights with him because they didn't want to make a 164 catchweight, that hardly ducking.

I'm just saying this because I really want to see Golovkin fight a Brian Vera or even Marco Rubio. I think he could be good but he has too many questions and too many people are too quick to crown him and that's never a good combo and usually screams bust.

a guy wanting to jump from C level guys to the top shelf always leaves me wondering. forget his amateur career, it's only 4 round fights and it's a totally different sport. as a pro too many questions need to be answered and guys like Ishida won't answer them

        Ishida looks ripped.

I am happy for him, I mean damn. Dude was just a decent middleweight from Japan, then he scored one of the biggest upsets I've ever witnessed against Kirkland.

I mean ****. When he retires he'll get to say he was an interim titlist who got to challenge for a world title twice and fought Paul Williams, James Kirkland, Dmitry Pirog, and GGG.

That is a ****ing Rocky story.

HBO will show footage of GGG being sick before the fight and throwing up. Or maybe it was an acting job because he knew he was going to look bad?

I wouldn't call the WBA middleweight title "nothing".

What about Quillin? He's not a big star (GGG is starting to become more famous than Quillin in the US) and he doesn't have big money fights lined up.

            What about Macklin? Barker?

Promoters won't let their fighters get in the ring with GGG because he's high risk-low reward.

Oosthuizen and Rodriguez were offered to fight GGG at 168. You're the one who's spewing BS here because you don't bother to get your facts straight.

If GGG can somehow find a way to get past Ishida his legend will grow. The resume just keeps getting better and better.

Blah blah blah. Rubio was offered a figh with Golovkin and he turned it down. Vera already said he prefers not to fight Golovkin and wants Macklin next, although prior Golovkin offered Vera a fight and HBO rejected it.
