Non hall of famers you will speak to your Grandchildren about.

As the thread title says- What fighters, who have not quite made it to the top of the sport, do you think you will speak to the next generation about and why will you mention them?

I will start with two examples.

Malignaggi- I don't think he is a fighter who will make it into the hall of fame for his performances in the ring and I have never seen him as an exceptional fighter. What I admire about him is his toughness an his previous ability to compensate for his lack of power with slickness that befuddled certain fighters. I will always have respect for his performance against Cotto.

Katsidis- Extremely limited as a fighter, always lost on the big stage and never won a world title but what guts. He's one of the few fighters where I can say ''He hasn't bored me in any of his match ups''.

i'd mention micky ward, but i can honestly see them letting ward into the hall of fame in time. i've got an autographed original of ward, whalberg, and the cop who used to train micky when ****y was in the joint

The only ones I can think of probably will get into the Hall of Fame, though they shouldn't.

You mean that movie was real?

I actually saw The Fighter for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Has the typical errors one would expect from any biopic, but damn was Christian Bale good in it.

it was honestly a pretty damn good movie. bale's a monster. he was amazing. so was wahlberg, and the woman who played ward's mother.

you could literally pick any working class place around or north of boston, and that's what it would look like.

they nailed lowell MA. nailed it. ****y's sisters are what the ugly / trashy girls look and sound like when they hit their 30's.
