Comments Thread For: Garcia, Gradovich, Ruiz Triple Being Discussed For HBO

Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, has advised BoxingScene.com that his company is kicking around the idea of a summer tripleheader that involves the ring return of WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26KOs).

Top Rank is currently involved in discussions with HBO to solidify a date.

Garcia would appear in the main event. Two potential options to face him are top contenders Orlando Cruz and Juan Manuel Lopez.

How is this a shtty card. Two featherweight title fights and two undefeated Heavyweights fighting each other does not make a shtty card.

                    I have to agree.

That's going to be a problem with Top Rank going forward, Robert Garcia trains Nonito/Mickey/Mex Russian. Those guys ain't going to fight each other so If they ain't co-promoting we're going to see a lot of garbage fights going forward.

And Ruiz doesn't deserve to be on HBO yet, I don't even think the guy has headlined a Friday night fights and now he's on HBO?
