You got me there.....I know I have it in my attic, somewhere.
    Something to do this weekend.

Oh, going on thirty years now...More of a casual viewer for the first couple years (my father was a big fan), but it was around 1978/79 when I became sort of a die hard fan, and started buying the magazines at every opportunity...KO Magazine came out at around that time or just a little bit after.

        Alright....

Time to get really boxing nerdy on this one....

It's a trivia question about Boxing magazines (80's)...

What was the name of the guy ( a fan) who used to write letters in, just about every month, to KO/World Boxing/Big Book of Boxing, etc.....praising Larry Holmes as the all-time king ?
        Does this sound familiar ?

          LOL.

That sounds like something that Hawkins from ********** would do and I think he's even said that he used to write a few letters to the boxing mags praising Holmes...I don't think it would be him, but that's the first guy that came into my mind.

I remember his name, because as a 12-14 year old who loved Larry Holmes, I thought the guy was a damn genius !

I have the program when Mark won the 5th title in NYC. the first ever to do so..I have the fight too... it was on ABC and Howard Cosell called it. As far as Robbie Sims, Robbie was a world clas middleweight when he was at his very best

Robbie was excellent. His fights with Iran Barkley & Murray Sutherland were classics.
