Comments Thread For: Haye Warns Heavyweights as Comeback Presser is Set

David Haye will officially announce his return to boxing at a press conference on Thursday as he bids to win another world heavyweight title.

The 32-year-old Briton has not fought since beating domestic rival Dereck Chisora by fifth-round stoppage in a grudge match last July and has stated on numerous occasions since then that only a fight with either of the Klitschko brothers would tempt him back into the ring.

However, IBF, WBO and WBA champion Wladimir, who comfortably beat the Londoner in 2011 on points, will face Francesco Pianeta in May and WBC belt-holder Vitali has thus far resisted Haye's advances and is rumoured to be thinking of retirement.

Should that come to fruition, Haye, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world, would probably have to fight a contender to put himself in prime position to challenge for another world title.

Maybe this means he realizes he cant waltz directly into a title shot, so he can actually go out and fight some real contenders now. Haye vs Jennings, Fury, Arreolla, maybe even Adamek, would all be really interesting fights. Outside of the K Bros, he could be the money man at HW. Act like it you bum, and make some compelling fights!

Haye/Fury would be epic in the build up...probably a huge disappointment in the ring though.

I would like to see Haye v Povetkin. Good matchup and similar sizes.

As much as Haye has let us down, he has speed, and power and that at HW is a dangerous combo.

His Cruiser weight days were exciting and his stamina was never great, but at HW it was much worse. Now that he is back, he should stay at 215 and no more.

Could be worse like fighting Sosnowski, Mormeck or Pianeta.
