Do you see the Broner Malignaggi fight as a cherry pick by Broner???

the thing is, it's obvious that Broner's handlers are picking Malignaggi because he's seen as the most ripe/vulnerable of all the title-holders at 147 and someone who can't break an egg.Nobody saw Aydin, a far stylistically worse and unproven fighter than Malignaggi, as a cherrypick for Guerrero's 'testing the waters' fight at 147. Actually everybody thought it was a good fight.
Of course this is because Guerrero wasn't really all that at 135, beating all of his notable wins by decision and never giving in a "wow" performance until his Berto fight, while Broner ran through every 130-135 guy put in front of him.
Aydin at least was in his prime and could offer a punch-threat.
Broner's handlers know that Malignaggi doesn't hit and they're banking on his mobility (his key to victory) being much diminished from what it was.
it's clearly a very cynical move designed to present Broner as a giant-toppling wizzkid whose talent is so great as to allow him to transcend weightclasses with ease.Comment

Ponce De Leon is even more dangerous now than he used to be, and he was already very dangerous back then.
He's the guy you have to beat to be known as a legit prospect and contrary to popular belief I thought Broner won the fight.
Many prospects have failed.Comment
