Roy's commentary during the Bradley fight
Collapse

When he said that, the guys were quiet and then Jim says elaborate on that Roy.Yeah man, he'll say some off the wall ****, and the rest of the guys are silent for a second before having to step up and argue with such a silly statement.
Example; when Bradley and Provodnikov were in there ****ing and Bradley was getting hurt, Roy said something along the lines of "this kind of fight that's perfect for Bradley"
Not it wasn't, Roy. It was the ****ing opposite. It was exactly the kind of fight Provodnikov wanted.Comment

It's kinda disrespectful to the fighter when he can't pronounce their name. I believe it was towards the end where he was talking about Provodnikov and he kinda mumbled the first part of his name "Provok....whatever his name is." It took me less than a minute to correctly pronounce his name which is rather easy, Pro-vod-ni-kov, but a guy who is calling his fight doesn't know how? He did the same thing with Nishioka too but that one is understandable to some extent. I guess he just has a hard time pronouncing foreign names.Last edited by thuggery; 03-26-2013, 04:34 PM.Comment

Yeah he was a real d!ck for that one. That was after Max did the post fight interviews and he and Jim were giving their final thoughts on the fight. Couldn't even get the mans name right Smfh very disrespectful to just be like whatever his name is.It's kinda disrespectful to the fighter when he can't pronounce their name. Roy just evening things out a bit. HBO are usually very biased in favour of Roach's fighters. And he wasn't exactly wrong either. Bradley did hurt Provodnikov a few times, just because the Russian kept smiling and poking his tongue out as he plodded forward doesn't change that fact. Bradley stopped him in his tracks a few times and hurt him to the body. If Roy hadn't have pointed it out nothing would have been said about it at all.Comment
