Cotto's only problem has been that he decided to fight like Tito the last few fights instead of fighting like Cotto, which is box carefully, do the body work, and set up the kill. So he got his chin checked a few times. When Cotto settles down, poor Floyd is gonna go into shock. Hatton would be a harder fight for him because Hatton makes him work harder than he's used to.

I didn't think Cotto would do well to move up to welter, but he's so well trained physically at jrW now, I think his strength, punching and confidence would improve at welter when he makes the move, which I hope he does in a year. Arum has been doing a great job of matching Cotto up with a variety of quality fighters. He deserves a big fight by the end of the year or he may have to leave Arum.

I agree, I think that he will move up to welter this year, i think that he will be even more effective at that weight!

In all honesty I dont see the big deal with Cotto being hurt a bit on those fights. He came back and won. The same way trinidad did when he got floored (which was more than once). Did that take away from Trinidad? No, then what is the big deal with Cotto. Until he gets hurt to the point of not being able to finish a fight, I dont see this as a big problem. I think he is extrealy good.

i think cotto is overrated for what he has accomplished at this point in his career, but he may have big things ahead. worst comes to worst, he will end up being a gatti like fighter, tons of heart and power, who will get into some classic brawls and that wont be too bad at all

gotta agree 100 percent on this one. if cotto were anything but puerto rican i dont think id have to read half as many posts about how good he is, i wasnt impressed by his victory over torres at all, yeah he got up and won the fight but mostly because torres was too green to finish him. torres punched himself out trying to take cotto out like he was your usual tomato can opponent, a lot of misses and punches on the gloves. cotto survived that and torres fatigue ultimately did him in, im sure torres feels like he let the opprutunity of a lifetime get away from him.

i think hes a cut above gatti, but a cut below floyd. (cause we all saw the difference tween gatti and PBF)

ill bet all my points on floyd to beat cotto, 8 days a week. cotto could be a great fighter, floyd already is.
