they expted HBO to put millions into guys like Saul and Khan, then give them bull**** one sided fights that is a total mismatch, when HBO say now or take one of the best match ups of the year (martinez vs chavez), GB whine and go to showtime who want any fights they can get since they want a sniff in the market...

I am glad HBO showed GB the door, they really have their head up their arses
the fact HBO never exposed GB for hiding drug users when they could have (mayweather, peterson among others who posted positive but got away with it eventually as usada is contracted per fight to GB who decide if they can be publicized) after all of this GB turn their back on HBO?
they need brought down a peg
to me this looks like inexperience from the morons at GB
anyway, end of the year, mark this thread, GB will come back whining and do a lame ass press release pretending they have not lost like they did when paying pac to drop the court case

Showtime has already been working almost exclusively with golden boy and gbp have been fine.
add canelo and mayweather to the SHO roster and they will be making a fck ton of money. i hope they do go back because I do love hbo though. but sho is fine as is GBP

Showtime is backed by CBS the #1 Network In America, never understood why fans think that Showtime doesn't have the money to compete with HBO
I think fans are extremely confused as to how Networks and Boxing Events Work, Plus ...Mayweather gets a lot of money because he is basically his own promoter so he gets a huge Chunk of Merchandise and PPV Buys and all that stuff
The other fighters, none of them will come close to making Mayweather money...NOT EVEN CLOSE! Not sure why people are thinking Showtime is going to all of a sudden start paying all these fighters BIG MONEY that is not going to happen, it will go by who is able to generate and who can draw ratings and all that stuff
What is unfortunate is that the not so famous fighters and up and coming fighters will be reduced to undercards instead of Maineventing a weak card
So this split is good news for the fans because now we will get more loaded cards instead of those weak cards but bad news for the up and coming fighters, because now they will be mostly undercard guys or some of them might not even get on the network at all

Not even 1 week after the announcement and HBO is already backtracking, the truth is HBO isn't the power house it used to be. They have slashed it's boxing budget year after year. I wouldn't be surprised if SHO is already operating at the same budget as HBO.
