This is why he chose Malignaggi.. paulie isn't that big and can't break an egg.. Therefore Broner gets to walk him down..

    Notice the trend?

The only fight he didn't walk the smaller man down was Leon, and Leon won IMO

As he steps up he will face better guys than those two unless of course he keeps fighting the Rees's and Paulies of boxing.

Alot of people werent high on Broner or even knew who he was during the Ponce fight and everyone thought he ****** after. They said Gamboa would kill him. I came on here saying that he's fundementally sound and I think he would easily beat Gamboa.

I said that people need to realize that he's young and PDL is a Southpaw. There are 15 year vets that still cant fight Southpaws. Mostly every boxer struggles with a Southpaw. I said to put him in with a righty and he will look 10x better. Sure enough he's killed ever since, including against the Southpaw Demarco.

I say the similar about a guy like Matthysee. Some say he was robbed against Zab & Devon and others say he wasnt or it was close either way so he doesnt deserve the hype. I say that you cant tell everything from those fights because they were Southpaws. He might be 10x better than both but its just the Southpaw style that keeps it close. I said we cant fully judge him until he fights an elite orthodox fighter. Then there are no excuses.

Now you might say that if you are great then it shouldnt matter but I dont buy it. Even Southpaws struggle with other Southpaws. I dont think PDL wouldve done nearly as well if he were orthodox

Gamboa didn't struggle vs Ponce and he's not a 15 year vet either.

true but again, most guys do. I just tend to give guys a lil pass when youre dealing with a Southpaw. I think its the biggest advantage in all of sports. I think guys like Pac & Calzaghe are beast but wouldnt seem nearly as unbeatable if they were orthodox. Ive always felt that

Exactly what I have been saying. Broner can just walk through Malignaggis punches and treat him like smaller guys

but whats wrong with that? He was just at 130 two fights ago. Again, I dont see how people are ripping him for this fight. His resume isnt nearly as bad as people make it seem. I keep saying that the time to rip him is the next fight.

There are a million good fighters from 140-147. If he doesnt find one guy, then thats when you kill him. This fight isnt nearly as bad as people are making it out to be.

I also think its strategic. I wouldnt feel that comfortable in him moving up to 140 right now and fighting any of those top guys without 1 or 2 soft fights 1st. However, if he moves up to WW and then comes down to fight a 140 pounder then I bet he's alot more confident. Now it feels like he's equally as big to them and is more use to the weight

Broner actually has good footwork and has very quick feet, watch some of his older fights when he was more of a counter-puncher and he use to fight off of his back foot and also would try to roll punches while he is against the ropes

he changed his style to stand on his punches and to generate more Power and it is working...even the Ponce De Leon fight Broner was backing up too much and Ponce De Leon was catching him and Ponce De Leon was difficult for him to counter

after that fight Broner has been walking opponents down and coming forward and generating more power ever since but your in for a rude awakening if you think Broner is some Flat Footed Fighter

Broner will not have a problem keeping up with Paulie at all, young prime Paulie yeah maybe...but not this current version of Paulie!

I dont think its awful either way but there is no way its awful to me when you are talking about a guy who was at 130 just a couple of fights ago. I dont care how weak Paulie is, thats still intriguing to me. Again though, its what he does next that people should base there decision on. Im pretty sure he'll fight someone solid, like a Maidana type. I dont think it will be a bum
