Wow, we agree. To this day he hasn't faced anyone. He might not be undefeated come this time in April. He isn't facing the only type of opponent he's ever faced. This is quite literally the 1st time he's facing an elite jr middleweight.

Should be an easy fight to make, both are affiliated with the same promoter and network, both have September as a time to make and sell the fight, depends on if both thing they can maximise the potential earning for this fight in September 2013 or May 2014, if I was both fighters I wouldn't make it for September 2013 until the "Mayweather is ducking Canelo" goes into overdrive. If they are going to make great money for September 2013 then Canelo needs a KO victory over Trout because that's the high point at which Mayweather would fight him not when he is struggling to win.

IMO, floyd and cotto are elite fighters fighting at 154 but they might not be elite 154 lbers. They wouldn't clean out the division or fight all at the weight. If you understand my point.

The fight is legit unless floyd wins -then Canelo will be too young and too green and floyd will have only fought canelo because he is ducking sergio, manny and ward.

Yea I wouldn't be surprise if this fight doesn't happen in September, my feelings right now is telling me May 2014 which would be enough for more of those threads around the world, which would probably make Mayweather and Canelo more money due to the "He ducking" cries that we get every year from some of this fans.
