Gatti doesn`tg deserve a higher ranking. He is a paper chap. He beat Branco ( average protected fighter ) and he beat lightweight Dorin ( Dorin is a good fighter, world class, not a light welterweight though but still a decent fighter and a 2nd round KO is an excellent result ). But the problem is he hasn`t beaten a world champion in his weight division since Tracy Patterson.

Cotto is doing well but we`ll see after Coley fight...
Harris has had a few decent wins and seems to be establishing himself as a good fighter. True, he ran a mile from Hatton and this makes him look bad. I think he should challenge the winner of the Mayweather Vs Gatti fight, then we`ll have a clear challenger for tsyzu ( or Hatton ).

Except former IBF light welterweight champ Terron Millett?
Or former WBC Super Featherweight Title Gabriel Ruelas (Gatti fought for the IBF Super Featherweight Title)?

(if you meant current world champ; well you can only do that when you win a title and it is not vacant)

All you Hatton fans must be smoking something if you think that Harris ran from Hatton. If Zoo doesnt fight Hatton will you say the same thing? Zoo is getting way more money then they were offering Harris. Do you guys forget that Cotto was the #1 contender for Harris belt for the longest and the kid never steped up to fight him. Do you guys think that Cotto ran? What has Hatton done for Harris to be running. You Hatton fans are on something

            Gatti's 140 lb. Resume'
            ------------
            1. Terron Millet TKO4: Excellent showing against a legitimate contendor at 140 lb. Simply blows Millet away.
            2. Mickey Ward L10: A great fight, one for the ages, but Gatti can't be having these kind of life and death struggles with club fighters.
            3. Mickey Ward UD12: Rebounds with the kind of performance I expected in the first fight.
            4. Mickey Ward UD12: Is absolutely dominating Ward, until he breaks his right hand. I let this one slide.
            5. Gianluca Branco UD12: He should've been more assertive against Branco, a guy who simply had NOTHING.
            6. Leonard Dorin KO2: Was I the only one predicting a blow out?
            ------------
Bottom line, he's exciting, but not the kind of fighter who can hang with a Tszyu or a Mayweather.

Cotto will prove more of a danger to Hatton than KT. But Cotto will eventaully be conqured by the Hitman.

So in your eyes it's not the champion's obligation to make the fight happen with the #1 contender, it's up to the #1 contender to chase him around and what, beg him for the fight? Cause IMO once a fighter gets to the #1 spot there isn't anything more to do but wait for the champion to step up and defend his title against the #1 ranked opponent!

As for Tszyu gettung offered more money for a fight w/ Hatton than Harris was offered, what do you expect? That is what is supposed to happen with the recognized division champion. You don't think that Tszyu deserves more $ than Harris or what?

What are you talking about? Harris was begging for the Cotto fight in every interview. He said that he was being protected. Cotto's people never steped up and they still havent.

Forget the other things you said, are you joking about the Hatton vs Hatton fight?

Harris gave the excuses - "the money isnt enough" and "i'm the champ, why should i fight abroad". You could say thats fair until he fought Urkal in Germany for half the money.

Wake up, Harris was all talk and couldnt back it up.
